Scaravelli-inspired yoga for greater authenticity, vitality and freedom

An embodied approach to yoga movement, inspired by dancer and yoga teacher Vanda Scaravelli.

Rather than forcing yourself into perfect shapes, this practice invites you to slow down, listen and work with your unique body – exactly as it is.

You’ll learn to notice where you might be holding unnecessary tension, explore and release familiar patterns, and discover new possibilities for how you move and feel.

Working with your spine as a centre of movement, breath and vitality, you may discover more suppleness, ease and balance – both in your body and in how you move through life.

My approach is warm, trauma-sensitive and choice-led, valuing curiosity over correction. You’re encouraged to notice what feels right for you, listen to what your body needs and develop a deeper sense of trust, connection and authenticity within yourself.

“I really appreciate being encouraged to explore rather than being expected to perform a particular shape. Sophie always offers lots of variations and options in movement, and I never feel that I have to force myself into something that doesn’t feel right for my body.” Hannah

My approach is warm and gentle, offering guidance without imposing, and creating space for you to listen, explore and discover what feels supportive and true for your own body

Online yoga: Monday, 7pm

Weekly Zoom classes, drop-in or six-week block passes to support your yoga journey. These are intentionally small, with time for personalised guidance, support and exploration throughout.

In-person yoga

Weekly in-person yoga at Cheltenham Holistic Centre next to Pittville Park. These small classes offer a supportive space to explore, with personalised guidance and support throughout.

One-to-one yoga

A personalised session, shaped around your body, needs and intentions. Through mindful movement, we’ll explore greater awareness, ease and fluency, exploring specific shapes, movement patterns or nervous system states.

The modern Western world can pull us away from the present, leaving our bodies and nervous systems responding to what has been or what's ahead rather than what's happening now. Wellbeing can begin through gently reconnecting with your body, the present moment and the life happening here. My role isn’t to tell your body what it should do, but to create a space where you can listen, explore and discover what feels right for you
